Time travel can open up astonishing possibilities for conflict, consequence, mystery, emotion, and plot. But without clear rules and careful structure, it can also collapse a story under confusion, loopholes, and tension-killing explanations.

In this two-session workshop, Casey Jones will guide you through some of the greatest narrative tools time travel has to offer, along with the mistakes that can drain your story of urgency. You’ll learn how to create rules that feel solid without overexplaining, build stronger cause-and-effect, and use time as a source of drama rather than a gimmick.
